The Illinois State Police provides an online
listing of sex offenders required to register in the State of Illinois.
The database is updated daily and allows searching by city, county, and
zip code. Some sex offenders must register in person annually for a period
of 10 years, others are required to register for life. A sex offender sentenced to
probation will start his/her registration period from the date of
sentencing. If sentenced to a
hospital or Department of Corrections, the registration period starts from
the date of parole, release, or discharge.
