You can help keep kids safe!
Enhance your knowledge and skills in protecting children from sexual abuse KCCASA + ISAS and ISAS are offering free trainings to school staff preparing them to lead Body Safety Programs with their students. It enables schools to impart important safety messages independently. The training includes:
- Body Safety Program outlines and scripts
- Training video
- How to handle a disclosure
- Making referrals to KCCASA + ISAS/ISAS
- Reporting abuse and more
Qualifying professionals will earn 2 CPDUs/CEUs in partnership with KCC.
Schedule a Training
This training is 2 hours. Trainers are happy to accommodate your schedule in whatever way possible, including breaking the training into sessions. A trainer can come to your location, or can offer a space if necessary. One-on-one and group trainings are available. Please contact a Preventionist for more details or to schedule a training. Meet the Facilitators
Kami Garrison is the Prevention Coordinator at KCCASA + ISAS/ISAS, where she has been employed for 12 years. Kami holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Community Health Education, with a minor in Family Services, from Eastern Illinois University. Kami and her family reside in Crescent City. Hayley Forrestal is a Preventionist at KCCASA + ISAS, where she has been employed for 2 years. Hayley holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Art and Digital Media from Olivet Nazarene University.
